Kristin Roskifte is a Norwegian illustrator and author. 

She has made seven picture books with topics like surrealistic dream homes, queueing and animals with body issues. Three of her books are about the alphabet happy couple Alf and Beate, whose lives are based on letter shapes. 

Roskifte has more than ten years experience as a freelance illustrator, working for editorials, advertising and design. Her work has won her many awards and great reviews. Rights to her books are sold to USA, South Korea, Singapore, France, Germany and Denmark. 

She has an MA in Illustration from Kingston University in London, and a BA in Illustration from Cambridge School of Art. She is a co-owner of Magikon Forlag, a small publishing company that specializes in picture books and books on visual culture.

She lives and works outside Oslo, with her boyfriend and their three small kids. She has a large collection of sketchbooks where she documents all parts of life on a daily (and nightly) basis.
